Issue No. 01

Made for the work.

Information

Accessibility

A shop for readers and writers should be legible to everyone. We target WCAG 2.2 Level AA across the storefront.

What we have done

Semantic headings and landmarks on every page, a skip link to the main content, visible keyboard focus, text contrast that meets or exceeds AA, alternative text on product and editorial images, form fields with real labels, and no content that relies on colour alone to make sense.

Body text can be enlarged to 200% without loss of content, layouts reflow to narrow screens without horizontal scrolling, and nothing moves or auto-plays.

Known limitations

Some product photography supplied by our print partners has short alt text that we are still rewriting by hand. A small number of older journal entries contain long tables that are easier to read on a wide screen.

Checkout

The secure checkout runs on a separate platform. We test it with the same standard, but if you hit a barrier there specifically, please tell us — we can take the order manually by email in the meantime.

Reporting a barrier

Email support@markedcopy.com with the page address and what went wrong. We aim to reply within two business days and to fix confirmed barriers within thirty.
