IP addresses are anonymised. The data is never used to identify you individually and is never shared with advertising networks.

The storefront you are reading and the secure checkout run on related hosts under the same parent domain. Your cookie choice is stored at the parent-domain level so it carries across the handoff and you are not asked twice.
